Tomato Rice
Preparation time: 20 mins.
Cooking time: 15 mins.
Serves : 2
Ingredients
Maggi Lemon Masala
Cubes: 3 cubes, crumbled
Rice : 1 cup, raw
Oil : 2 tb. sp.
Mustard : 1 tsp.
Curry Leaves : 8-10
Whole Red Chillies : 2
Onion : 1 large, chopped
Ginger : 2 tb. sp., grated
Tomatoes : 3 medium, chopped
Green Chillies : 2, chopped
Salt : To taste
Method
1. Cook rice in excess water, drain and keep aside.
2. Heat oil in a karahi, add mustard seeds, when they splutter
add curry leaves, whole red chillies and onions. Saute till
onions are light brown. Add the ginger and saute for
a few more
minutes.
3. Add the tomatoes and green chillies and cook on low heat
till tomatoes soften.
4. Add the cooked rice & crumbled Maggi Lemon Masala Cubes.
Mix well. Adjust salt, if necessary.
