Caramel Squares
Preparation Time : 40 minutes
Cooking Time : 40 minutes
To Serve: 6-8



Ingredients
Base
Nestlé Butter 150 gm.
Maida 2 1/4 cups
Sugar 1 cup, powdered

Filling
Milkmade Sweetened
Condensed Milk 1/2 tin
Nestlé Butter 50 gm.

Topping
Nestlé Classic Milk
Chocolate 1/2 cup, chopped
Cashewnuts 1/2 cup, chopped


Method
For Base
1. Lightly grease a baking tray (20cm. x 30cm.). Preheat oven
    to 180 C.
2. Cream Nestlé Butter and sugar together.
3. Add sifted maida and mix well.
4. Press 2/3 of the mixture into 1/8" thick layer in the greased
    tray.
5. Put the remaining mixture into the refrigerator.

For Filling
1. In a saucepan, carefully melt Nestlé Butter. Remove
    from fire.
2. Add Milkmaid Sweetened Condensed Milk and mix well.
3. Spread the filling evenly over the base.

For Topping
1. Mix together the chopped Nestlé Classic Milk Chocolate
    and cashewnuts. Sprinkle over the filling.
2. Sprinkle maida mixture from the refrigerator over nuts
    and chocolate.
3. Bake at 180 C for 30-40 minutes or till the top is golden
    brown.


Cool and cut into squares.
Can be served hot immediately or cooled and stored for 2 to 3 days.
