blankIf you want to save oil while frying just put a small piece of tamarind in the oil. As the oil gets hot the tamarind piece will come up. Just remove it from the oil and then fry. You will need much less oil for frying!
 
blankTo make potato chips, slice potatoes very thin; soak them in cold water for an hour. Then drain off, wipe with a clean cloth and fry in boiling fat. This way they will be crisp and will save you on oil too!
